rtcc Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Hey guys, When I have my bike off the ground and spin the rear wheels it wont ever go around one full rotation. I just put on a brand new chain awhile ago, but it is really lubed and I dont think its the problem. I can hear the brake dragging on the rotor but I dont know how to correct it. I have bled the brakes. Is there any other adjustment I can do or is something else causing a problem? Oh, they are brand new pads as well. thanks Quote
FASTOYS Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 The brake caliper slides back and forth on 2 sliding pins. Most likely they are rusted/corroded (sp?) and not allowing it to slide side to side. Also make sure your rotor is not bent but then it would go smooth and catch go smooth and then catch again. Quote
Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 I have had to rebuild motorcycle calipers because of them not releasing. Basically pop the caliper piston out, clean the piston, remove the piston seal and clean the seal, and hone the cylinder. Quote
