riderofthestorm Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 well just for shits n giggles i tore my reed cages apart to look for leaks, and when i was lookin in the intake of the jugs i notice that the left side was slightly ported, i believe it's the boost port that has the most taken out of it but, it is all ported enough to notice it by eye. And the right cylinder is stock! no porting at all! someone must have bought 1 new jug and never looked at it b4 i bought it, might explain why the left side was fucked up when i bought it? you would think that the guy i took it to would have notice it before i put new everything in it, crank, rods, bearings, bore, pistons, ect. 1300$ worth anyway, i'll never take it to a garage again, i will do it all myself, if i would have known how simple these motors are i would have! so i exspect the ported side would have been running lean right? riderofthestorm Posted December 9, 2007 Author Report Posted December 9, 2007 (edited) Well i know how you goes are completely against it, but i also read on here that nobody wants to work off of someone else's porting, i have done some porting b4 and it turned out pretty good, i do have the right tools, and i do know what it takes to make it work, i might not no the words for it but, i can do it! i know you guys will critisize me but um really confident i can do it and i'm not gonna make it any worse than it already is, so with that said save the laughing for when i show you the finished work lol and keep in mind this is my 1st banshee port! but not my first or last port, um not gonna go wild on it just enough to clean up the one thats already ported, and match my unported cylinder to it, if you guys have any ideas feel free to throw them out there  Edited December 9, 2007 by riderofthestorm Quote

brian Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 Yeah, I think it will be cool. Especially if you are just matching the other one. You just need to measure the port heights from the deck and match em up. If you got the tools......go for it ! Quote
