Cleaning Clutch Disks

What's the best way to clean clutch friction plates? I had some coolant in my tranny oil and I've heard it can degrade the clutch friction material. I didn't notice any clutch slipping before and I think I've corrected the problem but I'd like to try and clean up the friction disks if possible.
