brian Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 Just got back from Lil Sahara test riding the new setup. Along with the motor build I changed over to some Marvin Shaw coil overs. They were setup for 230 lb rider. I am 225 so I figured they would be good. These are some rock hard mofos. My forearms are about to fall off. Sore as hell right below the elbow. They need to be softened up alot. It seems to me that a couple grooves higher on the top of the coil would be good, but do any of you know how ? Thinking that compressing the coil may alow adjustment, but ????????????? Any help would be great. Also, I am using 35mm PWKs for the first time and OMG those springs are really stiff. In a couple months my right hand will prolly be twice the size of the left ! LOL I have some jetting ??s in the jetting and exhaust forum as well. jetting ??s Thanks for the help ! Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 (edited) brian you can set the pressure inside the marvine using just a regular nitrogen bottle. look into getting a filler and you can play with the pressure and get them set to what you want. Marvins ar going to be shiffer then what your used to, but it shouldnt be so bad that your arms are beat...for the carbs you can cut one or two coils out and stretch them if they are too stiff. how you like the ported 4mil?
