can not keep an idle?

hey whats up guys, 3 weeks ago "last time i went riding", my bike would ride fine for about the first 1/2 hour and then i would not even get past 3000 rpm no top end so today i tuned the bike. new radiater fliud, tranny oil, spark plugs, and also installed a new pair of 35 pwk carbs, intakes, 6" filters. runs fine for the time being only went up the street and back 2 times, but once i come to a stop the bike dies. also at times smoke comes out of only one pipe is that normal? what is wrong and what should i do, need to know going to glamis this weekend, thanks!!

From what it looks like you might not have the right jetting. What part of Cali. are you in? And what do you have done to your banshee. You also said you put new carbs on it or something, have you trie the idle screw? If you dont have the idle screw out enough it will die when the rpm's are low.

make sure your carbs are in sync, ie slides are moving at same time and level,check your pilot jet/systems are clean,and set you air screw around 1.5-2 turns out from fully(lightly)screwed in.hop that sorts her. :biggrin:

So everything is OK, it just wont idle? It is pulling to the top of the RPM band. Keep an eye on your plugs and take some 160 mains with you in case you need to go up. Hows the static compression? That should be checked now that you have had some time on it. Those rings wont last forever in that drag port.

Id start with compression and carb syncing. if that is in order, then deal with jetting n all
