fracas Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 01 Shee Vito's 404cc Sleeve kit 360 jet Stock carbs FMF fatties w/ Silencers Bike started over heating after I road it in the trails for about a hour. Checked and Added water but still over heated. Then the right cylinder started acting up. Back firing and cutting out. I checked the compression today 125psi on both cylinders. Not really sure what to look for next. Any tips would help. Oh I put a new set of plugs in when I added water. I checked them and the right side plug looked like it never fired and has a small amount of coolent on it. Quote
fracas Posted October 29, 2007 Author Report Posted October 29, 2007 How could it be jetting? Explain please. Quote
dajogejr Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 a small amount of coolent on it. If you have coolant on the spark plug..that's a problem. A little or a lot. The fact that you added water tells me it's leaking coolant... Pull the head and reseal it... How can you guys say it's jetting?????????? Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 there is more going on then just a leak. he also said that one of the plugs looked unfired. if you got spark but that side isnt running your not getting fuel. Quote

Generally...coolant on a plug washes any fuel burn on it...and it won't fire well, if at all... I'm not saying there isn't something else. Plugged radiator, bad cap, broken/worn impeller... But...it's leaking coolant, that has to be addressed first as well as the cause of it. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 that would need to be a pretty narley leak to wash it out and not fire. but i guess we shall see once he resealed the head. Quote

Who knows how long it was leaking and how bad...G. He also has new plugs in it...they take time to color...add the fact it's got coolant in the cylinder, I can easily see it being squeaky clean...
