anyone tried the shift pro kit?? i have.. i put a modded star and the shift pro kit in my shee.. dam look out.. theres not another bike made that shifts this well.. shifts fast and effortless.. how about you guys? anyone tried these mods? my lady rides a shee with a motofast 2 into 1 pipe.. i ground down her shift star myself( and did a great job if i might add) and also ground some of the spring down( about 40% around the outside edge) and her shee shifts almost as well a mine, but is does shift great.

I bet my bike with an override shift better, faster and more effortlessly...

I've been told a ground down shift star AND shift pro are a bad idea because bumps or whoops can cause it to jump gears.

As good as it may shift, once you ride an override bike it will ruin any other bike you ride, that's a promise...:)

but can u trail ride your overide?? i hit the mx track and there is no umping outta gear.. once these trannys are in gear they like to stay there.. i am very happy with the combination

Can I trail ride my override? Yes. It's a dunable.

Can I trail ride my bike? Uh...no. 14 over arm with 110 to 120 HP doesn't handle trails very well..:)

well i would say a overide suits you well for what you do.. i stay in the woods mostly so my cheap little tranny mods serve my needs great. it shifts everytime with ease, i just can't complain.. did you lose a gear when going to the overide or still have all6??

I have a moded shift star and pro shift kit on both my bikes. I just got back from the sand dunes yesterday. I was having a problen with shifting on my play bike. It kept going between gears when I would down shift. Causeing me to louse every bit of speed I had. It was csarey the first cupple times it happened. Thought I broke some stuff. Same thing with up shifting, kept getting stuck between the gears.

I am going to get rid of one of them. Not sure wich one thow.

really? did you adjust your shift shaft so it is within spec?? i haven't had any pro on mine.. if i did get rid of one i would keep the modded star, but maybe the shift pro with a stock star would give you a smooth positive shift also.. its a toss up.. i haven't had any peob yet with mine.. i also run atd in my bike not sure if that makes any difference

My engine builder put the motor together. So I am pritty sure that it is in spec. I put them both in to begin with but my builder reinstalled everything.

I havent had this happem befor where I ride. When I got to the sand it was frequent. I assume it had sompthing to do with really opening up the motor in the sand. I think I have a video of it happing wile climbing a hill. If I do I wont beable to post it tell I get the video from by brother...

I was thinking about trying to use a stiffer spring on the shift pro kit,

The one from the stock shift thing. (????)

that is a dam good idea.. the spring they send is really soft.. i would put a stock spring back in it, you will still have the roller tip and smooth umped shift star.. i think that sounds like a damn good idea.. if mine gives trouble that will be my first change.. if you do let me know how it works?? i am in ky and trail/woods ride so i go through some rough bumpy stuff, no probs yet but i have only had this thing out about 5 times..

I have both. It shifts real good. I havent had a problem with going inbetween gears or having it jump in to gear.

Neutral is harder to find but once you get use to it, it isnt that hard. Rev it a little with the cutch pulled in, in second, and half a click down as the RPM's fall.

You have a cub so you will NEED atleast a duneable overide. My builder recomended 1-4 for a motor that will be used on asphault and a bit of trails. And Im not going to run a lockup. With a duneable you can use the clutch while in the woods and still have an overide when your racing. Its a must for any racer or cub cylinder IMO
