I just bought a 01 Banshee from a Friend. It has burnt rings and need to be replaced. I was told that the Shee has a Viseeto 402cc Kit. I have never heard of this Brand. Can anyone point me in the right direction to where I can find a set of rings for this. Or can I just pull the head off and Mic the clearences and get new rings? Also Im not sure if I can usea stock OEM gasket kit of not.

 

 

All help will be helpful for me.

I also have a Cool head with 18cc domes that hasnt been installed. Will I need to run Race fuel with the Cool head and Big Bore kit?

Pull the cylinder and mic the pistons/or see if you can make out serial number to find new rings. Never heard of the brand your saying, maybe Vitos? And about the 18cc domes, yes you will need to run Race Fuel unless your at 5000ft or higher.

Ok I came across what I have. It is a Vito's 404cc Big Bore Kit. Now I need to find out if I can use stock gaskets

I agree...their 404 kit uses 68mm pistons, you will need big bore domes.

However, I use stock base gaskets on my cub and just trim them a bit, no problems.

 

I just use stock base gaskets on my stock cylinders that have been resleeved with 66-68.5mm sleeves.

Here is another question. When running the 404cc big bore kit what Gas are you guy using?

 

 

 

I thought it would need some race fuel. But my buddy said he was using 93 with some Octain booster.

It depends on what domes and compression you are running....

 

Octane booster is a joke... either run race fuel or a mix of race/pump fuel IF your motor needs it.

Well From what I see on the motor it still has the Stock Head on the cylinders. Not sure on the Compression at all. But it does have the 404cc kit. Not sure on the bore either. I went out this morning and fired the bike up. Runs fine now. But last sunday it was firing on 1 cylinder. I think the ring got hung up. So Im gong to pull the topend today and check everything and maybe do some file work and see if it helps.
