Snopczynski Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 I would probably tip the bike up at a 45 degree angle with the side cover off towards the passenger side. Then spray in that hole left and right. Let it sit and drain for a bit and reassemble it. Quote

I have seen the little hole on the bottom, it looks to small for any big chunks, but im sure there is clutch material all over inside the tranny. i will clean it the best i can and go have fun this weekend, this is our last trip to the dunes this year. i will plan on winter teardown including going thru the motor, ie: seals, better clutch, rings, i would like to polish the covers, but if im doin a good clutch and i win the lottery i will buy a lock-up with a polished cover. i will put it together tonite and let everyone know it works. dawarriorman Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Buy a magnetic drain plug. Best thing I ever bought. I had the little e-clip that holds the kick starter on fall off and get chewed up. Went to change the oil, and nearly the whole thing was clinging to the drain plug. Not a bit of damage to anything else in the tranny (few marks here and there on the big gear on the clutch basket, but nothing bad) Quote
