Help With Flywheel

Good to know... I guess who really cares if your lights are brighter at idle how often do you idle these things. Thanks again guys :biggrin:

I didn't say it was brighter at idle, I said its brighter at lower rpm. It does make a difference, cause when you let off the throttle for something, and it gets darker in front of you it is harder to see. And the stock flywheel is more than twice the cost of the RS unit from yamaha oem.

This is true.... you can get 2 RS flywheels for the cost of 1 OEM unit. I have a RS flywheel on my drag bike, and never had a problem with the flywheel itsself. Came off once, but that wasnt the flywheels fault. Some people really bash RS, but Ive neve had a prob.

when you buy the motion pro puller, buy 2, they are made to break.i buy them 2 at a time.

One other thing to note: is to use a 1/2" drive impact gun/wrench for 1 you won't get it off and for 2 it won't stay on i used a 3/8 drive and it pulled it off but i rode it for 2 passes down the road and my damn fly wheel came loose so make sure you use a 1/2" drive other than that the job is very easy to achieve :beer:

what setting are you putting your inmpact gun/wrench at?

I put them on tight as hell... my gun is set of 4, but i dont have a real nice gun like some. Also, locktite the nut too...

Yeah, I use the crappy craftsmen 1/2" on level 4 (max). I dont even use the ingersol gun, I wouldn't want to risk breaking something.
