Handyman Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 Well now that I'm having a good day with my broken collar bone I'd figure I'd give a shot at bending the steering loop back into place.. From what I can tell from looking at my other shee is that the steering loop is bent back about 3/8 of an inch or so...just enough to touch the tank. is it worth bending back since the steering seems to move freely and there seems to be no binding or should I try to bend it back and how do I go about doing this. Any help is greatly appreciated. Quote
NYUK Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 get a friend with 2 good clavicals, a sledge hammer and a block of wood. gently persuade it back into position. i have done this many times. Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 its not hard to bend the frame back at all. This is saying you don't have a fancy powder coat job then it might be a little more difficult. If you don't i recommend bending it back and gusseting it. Quote
