Snopczynski Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 I found a set of used reed cages in my buddies garage. One of them has a small knick across the petal bridge. Anyone know what the stuff you can use to repair the rubber surface on a reed cage is called? My engine guy told me how to do it, but I forgot the stuff he said to use, or where to get it. Basically you put this stuff on, then clamp the flat surface of the cage down so it dries flat. Anyone know? Quote

Bought it like that which kinda pissed me off, the guy said they were in good condition. The nicks are on the tip of mine. Quote
Snopczynski Posted October 12, 2007 Author Report Posted October 12, 2007 I am going to call belzona today to see if they know. Otherwise I will know by tomorrow when I ask dyno dave again. Quote
Snopczynski Posted October 12, 2007 Author Report Posted October 12, 2007 Ok, I called 206-340-0710 today and talked to a guy. He is sending me a sample to repair the cage. Basically I got to prep the area with a conditioner, then put on the stuff. Then wax a flat surface and clamp the cage to it. Let it dry, seperate it, and trim the excess. Quote
RIPRuck Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Is this damage to the Vforce cages? Could you post a pic? Quote
Snopczynski Posted October 13, 2007 Author Report Posted October 13, 2007 no, its some stock cages. Quote
