dajogejr Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 At 5300 Feet??? Doubt it.... If I were you, I'd be shaving heads or putting like 18cc domes in to get some compression back, and put them at 4 to 6. Yeah, I love a shit load of timing.... Quote
kawiking Posted October 9, 2007 Author Report Posted October 9, 2007 (edited) Yeah, I love a shit load of timing.... why ?? ive never understood the timing on a quad. i have a adjustible curve on my kfx ,but its easy to adjust. id love to try some on my shee, but taking off flywheel and testing is kind of a pain. Bansh-eman Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 your just advancing when the motor fires. doing this will give you more bottom end at the cost of a little top end. Quote
kawiking Posted October 9, 2007 Author Report Posted October 9, 2007 i pretty much just drag my bike,so should i stay around 5 ish Quote

A 10 mil open end wrench is all I need to adjust my timing....why do you have to take your flywheel off? All I do with my bike is drag race. My compression is 175 to 180....so I only run 9 degrees. If I had less compression, I'd be running a LOT more timing.... But alky is more picky about how much timing and compression it likes. Keep in mind, this is on a cub...which in my experience last year and this one, they like timing and compression.... Quote
