well... whats the set ups this year....

I would have done the 7mil, but my stock cylinders were runied from messed up port work so thats why i went the way i did. I could get the cub cheaper then the 7mil crank, new cylinders, and case work.

 

My set up is

Stock stroke 65mmbore cub

370 Long Rod Crank

+6 tdub swinger

35mm PWKs

and the usual mods...

why are you running a 8 paddle on your cub ? is it to keep it spinning so you can stay in the powerband up the hill ?

the sand in the climbs is really heavy, and they are fawkin steep. If I hooked up too much id be going down the climbs on my top. I think RIPPEN runs 8s too.

Yep, Iam running the exact same tire.. They work really well for what we do.. The 8's also seem to be a good tire as to not pull the motor down.. We are a bit underpowered due to elevation..

As for my set-up this year its gonna be basicly identical to last year.. :thumbsup:

I think they ride better, they get better traction, and the crap we go in at walden would bend the 10" wheels on trees.

I know about the tree thing. I peel alot of bark on most of my climbs. Due for some new rubber this year on two machines. Run the V paddles now. Really like how they turn in the chutes at Walden and the tops of tall dunes.

Have you ever run straights? I honestly never have a problem turning, i just really like the way haulers/ extremes hook up.

I used to run straights on our quadracers. I'm running stock swing arms on the shees so don't want full hookup. Cann't always keep the front down.
