Leigh Posted October 2, 2007 Report Share Posted October 2, 2007 one of my friends is having trouble with his jetting i just want to ask what you would thing a good starting point would be for him... he has FMF pipes, boysen reeds,he is at about 500 feet.. the carbs are 35 or 38 keihin's... he thinks its a pilot jet problem he has a 62 pilot jet in there now... any ideas on what he should be running for jetting??? Leigh Posted October 2, 2007 Author Report Share Posted October 2, 2007 yeah i know they are lol.... i had them on mine at one point and they always ran wayyy to rich.. yeah thats what he has done... it is also bored a little but i dont think that makes a difference with jetting.. slowpokebanshee Posted October 2, 2007 Report Share Posted October 2, 2007 yes you can run those carbs, however, you will have to run it fairly lean and would not have as much benefit as running stock carbs or maybe 28-30mm carbs....I vote for trading those big carbs for some porting....
