Its a little far away right now but i want to get my motor work lined up for after the dune season, im setting budget on what i want to spend and

 

my motor is stock, iv been talking with a few members here, and im not going to go all out right now, i think i just want some vforce reeds, maybe a nice port job, a cool head or noss head, ( i have no clue what size domes or what i need)

 

 

anything else?

 

 

im taking the tors off this thurs so i will finally have those off...

 

 

any other mods that stand out that are good...

 

 

what about ariboxs cutting and such? pods good?

 

What abotu the 2 into 1 carb setup good bad?

 

 

I have lots more and just want my shee running up...

 

 

 

i run in the dunes, lots of trails, and wanting to do some more track

you think...? i HAVE to change the back swinger but i cant find a +2 roundhouse anywhere?

 

haha neverrmind i just called jeff and he said he could get me one for around 400 with the carrier...

 

 

 

a friend of my buddy said i can get the full front for 1200 retail is close to 1900 right...

the shocks and swinger / arms are going to be your biggest expense. but like i tell everyone, it doesnt mater how badass of a motor you got. if you cant keep that power to the ground your wasting your time. start with your suspension then work your motor after... that is unless you can afford to get it all at once :)

will all a-arms work with stock shocks?

 

i know the other shocks are more expsensive....

ok you know my next question?

 

 

will most stock a arms fit aftermarket shocks?

 

 

i know my back shock is a good one im not sure what is it, due to it being rebuit be a local guy...

 

 

but the owners before me bought it used and rebuild it rigth before i got it...

 

 

 

one more shock question, how come some peoples rezzies arein fiernt places? like some are mounted to the frame right were the bumper mounts up and some others iv seen are on the shock its self

ok well anything stick out besides the over priced elkas? im going to do a search on it i knows there as been good debates on which is better...

You can get aftermarket shocks put them on your stock a arms then buy +2+1s later on and they will work but the internal valving you chose will be off and that is a major deal on how the suspension works. You might be able to get away with replacing your main springs for 50 bucks or so once you upgrade your a arms but the valving will still be off enough to notice. Ideal situation is to buy everything at once and get the shock company you choose to setup your shocks for weight setup and riding style. Your rear shock might also be aftermarket but if the guy before you weighed less or more than you, rode diffrent terrain ect chances are it is too stiff or too soft you might want to think about sending that out as well and getting it revalved espically if your getting an extended swingarm.

 

 

Works are an old proven shock company and they are cheaper than Elka but you get what you pay for.

Washburn thanksman, i just foun that out today... i need to call elka up and find what kinda of shocks i need...

 

 

 

does anyone know the differnce between the race and dune edtions? i think im going to thave to call them up and find out....
