530grafix Posted September 21, 2007 Author Report Posted September 21, 2007 are you referring to the digitron tach? the onesi was referring to have the probes that go inside your pipes to moniter exhaust gases. (rich or lean conditions)cylinder temps and also a tach, and data loggging... Quote
Snopczynski Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 So an egt? I used to use an optak, but the damn things never worked right. So, I just switched over to a mechanical isspro egt gauge. Worked good. Quote
rubberneck Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Couple of quetions about pyros. Im a diesel guy, so i know where they should run, but what temps do you guys shoot for on the banshee when tuning? On a diesel richer is hotter, I assume lean will be hot on a gasser motor. Where do you mount the probes? thanks phil Quote
dynodon Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 On a Digitron, they say to be placed EXACTLY 6" from the edge of the piston. However, Unless your getting real serios about dragging, and have a laptop to bring everywhere with you to down load the previous pass, I wouldnt waste the time or money with it. Quote
