375hp banshees Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 my jetting has been the same and the temp has dropped 10-15 degrees.what could cause this? do you have a temp gauge...there are alot of reasons to spit coolant, not just running hot... psi test the cap for starters Quote
sredish Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 as the temps drop, your jetting will lean out some. 10 to 15 degrees doesn't really sound like much tho. however, if you were a tad on the lean side before and the lower temps are just pushing you to that point, then it's possible. try richening the main jet a smidge and / or raising the needle a clip and see if it cures it. sredish Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 you might try going to the 5th clip, raising it one more position. do you spend most of your time at WOT or at 1/2 throttle? How and where do you ride? Going up on the mains one size would probably work as well and I'd consider trying it. Quote

Snopczynski Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 Do you have an overflow bottle? Once the bike cools off, is the radiator low on fluid? Quote
