Just like the title says, I need to order a bung for an aluminum tank and am not sure what size the hole is for the petcock....is it 1/4" or 3/8"?

:thanks:

this is PURELY a guess but if my memory serves me correctly, it's 3/8". Don't order off of that, I'm just adding a simple guess. BTW, nice to see ya BigBoy!

Thanks Scott! That's what I was thinking but not sure either. I guess I could always just pull the petcock out and measure it, but I am lazy and don't feel like draining the tank, LOL

If anyone surely knows, it would be greatly appreciated, my wife is getting tired of me finding reasons to work on my bike

I use 1/4 inch plumbing on my bike, Travis...from tank to pump, pump to carbs....and cylinder to pump.

I think 3/8 will be too big/sloppy fit.

I'm talking about the actual hole in the gas tank, not the barb on the petcock. The barb is 5/16, but am unsure what the hole in the tank is...I'm installing a second petcock just for the fuel pump/nitrous.

Ahhh...I see...:)

I think I might have a fuel valve in my tool box @ the crib...I'll try to remember to grab you a measurement...

I thought about that, but there's already one petcock in the tank that's coming, and I have the one in my stock tank that I planned to put on the other side of the aluminum tank. Didn't want to spend money on another petcock if I don't have to, that money could go to fill up another nitrous bottle!!!! :woot:

LOL, if you think my bike is a hoss, check this out

18mil stroke, DM cheetah, billet cases too... :notworthy:

Actually...he'll probably run one to the carbs, one to the NOS system...

The juice is gonna be loose....:)

i havent really worried to read much on nos for these becasue i dont ever "plan" on running it. do they sell a fogger kit for quads?

most kits recommended for quads are wet kits.

humm you know why that is? im assuming pressure to the amount of dispalcment? you would thin that a fogger would give better results much like a large displacment motor

edit: unless im thinking of it backwards... beeen some time that iv worried about any of it...
