WALLACE84 Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 The stock stuff is steel. I have a billet kickstart and cascade shifter and havent had a problem yet so yea I would say its worth it. I had to get a cut shifter from my pro pegs. Thats why I got the billet shifter in the first place Quote
LiftdT4R Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Steel You can polish it, but you would want to have it clearcoated after. Quote

It's not worth polishing. PC or chrome is the way to go. In reality, if you're concerned about looks you just need to buy aftermarket parts. :geek: Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I just got this one a few days ago > http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83437 just take a look at the shape of it! It also feels more comfy on the foot.. No major upgrade but hey, it's nice & I like it too!! Quote
RNBRAD Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I would plate the brake pedal, since the aftermarket units are rediculously high and there is not any problems with the stock unit that I have ever heard of. Honestly though, I would chrome as much as I could cause polished alimunum isn't as easy to take care of as chrome. Quote
dajogejr Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Funny you should mention that... I have the prodesign shifter, it's aluminum...and I'm going to get a chromed stocker... It's a longer lever...and it just flexes too much to my liking. I say stock stuff Chrome is the way to go.... Quote
peterlocal22 Posted September 13, 2007 Author Report Posted September 13, 2007 how much should i be expecting to pay for a chrome shifter and chrome foot brake petal? thanks saw them on eaby for around 25 bucks each plus shipping Quote
Justintoxicated Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 I like my billet shifer, the stock one flexes too much. I get more solid shifting with the billet one. Plus the stock one have that plastic crap on the end that brakes off eventualy. I want a billet brake lever too, but waiting to find one that clears the lockup for a more reasonable price. Quote

You must not have a pro-design billet shifter...that's the only billet shifter I've used... Quote

Bansh-eman is going to have his shifter and brake levers go missing after he sends them to me to get chromed, he just doesn't know it yet. Quote

ClimbAnyHill Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 Wow, Bling Bling!!!!! All that stuff looks really nice!! Are those brake discs also chromed? Wouldn't that effect the braking?? Either way good work on the finish, top notch. Is that your work? Quote
bk_banshee Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 (edited) The rotors are Zinced so it won't effect the pads since zinc is softer and less material then chrome. Chrome chips and casuse material build up if done on rotors. Edited September 14, 2007 by bk_banshee Quote
