I would really like to know what paint works on pipes. I tried using high temp header paint with a good coat of primer first and it still bubbled off! If anyone has any suggestions on what paint to use, Im open to good ideas.

I used VHT ceramic coating pipes & came out well.. Didn't use primer, just wen't thru light coats. Did you cure the paint right??? Going heavy on the paint can cause it to bubble. Do a search in the Apperance Forum, I have a thread on it.. I couldn't find it myself.

just wanted to let you guys know to make sure to use that 1200 degree stuff.. Had a guy bring his bike into the shop a couple weeks ago with a stripped head bolt.. He had taken his head and pipe off to paint them black on his 400ex and used plain black spray paint.. In the process of putting everything back on he stripped the head bolt.. We started the bike and the paint on the pipe caught on fire lmao!! So we proceded to get the air and blow air on it as we rev'd it a bit.. Within 5 minutes every bit off his paint had came off and he was stuck with a shop bill for his Shadetree paint job and no remaining paint lol :D

I hear BBQ paint works good...

When curing it ,run the quad till the paint just starts to smoke...then shut her off,let cool and start over again...do this a few heat cycles and the paint should stay on...be sure to clean and prep the exhaust very good with acetone or some other solvent to remove the grease, grime and oil before painting...go thin even coats no primer...
