twinroost Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 I just bought a banshee that needs a little TLC. When I started tearing it down I noticed that there was a hose coming from inside the water pump area (front right side of the motor) that wasn't connected to anything on the other end. It looks a little smaller diameter than fuel line, but I'm not sure what it connects to? There was also a long line that had a T-fitting with a hose connected to each side the fitting and one spot open on the T fitting. These hoses were not connected to anything either (just laying there), and I was thinking maybe the other hose (see above) may connect to the open spot on that T-fitting?? The coolant bottle is hooked up right, and the fuel lines were all on the carbs, so this one is a mystery...PLEASE HELP!! I want to start reassembly of this beast this weekend. Thanks Quote
Ruko Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 (edited) The hose from the water pump does connect to that fitting. It is actually a vent. It goes up in between the carbs and hooks to the bottom of that "T". The hose coming off the back of that "T" goes to the trany vent at the back of the trany, just below the rear motor mount. The hose off the front of the "T" usually goes up over the steering post and is left open at the other end. Edited September 5, 2007 by Ruko Quote
