The problem I am having is that one of the domes on the cool head keeps pitting along with the piston. I'm not quite sure why this is doing this, I think it might be my jet Quote

I'm not sure the compression but the top end has less than three tanks of gas on it and its 20 over. The domes are 22cc and I run 93 octane with mobile 1 synthetic 2 stroke oil. Quote

Ducman Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 Sounds like detonation, but tipicaly that wouldn't be a problem with 22cc domes and 93 octane. Have you modified/advanced the timming? Too much timming will cause detonation. Do a search on this forum on how to measure the squish. If your squish is to tight that can cause detonation problems as well. Quote
