flattrakker Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 My stock banshee beats my friends 416 ex as of right now. He is planning on getting a 440 Big Bore and he is going to gear it so its extremely fast.... Quote Him. I need to be able to beat him by the winter time when we race on the ice. Im planning on getting Toomey T5's, and im going to get an aluminum airbox w/ high flow filters. what can i do to beat him without going over 500 bucks. im not going to port until the top end goes so that is out of the picture for now. im talking bolt ons, modifications, and gearing/tires, also considering a coolhead and domes. Thanks for any input. Quote

Thanks for any input. You can get a timing plate and advance it 3-4 degrees ($35 ebay no need for the billet prodesign). You need to jet it higher withthe new pipes. you might look into just getting K&N Pods instead of the air bok but I don't know what you ride in. Quote
flattrakker Posted August 30, 2007 Author Report Posted August 30, 2007 timing plate sounds like a good idea. 3 or 4 degrees, what does that go by as far as the difference between 3 and 4 degrees? Quote
letsgetthisdone Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 do what you were gonna do excpet buy toomey's 2into1 air filter setup, it will flow more than any airbox. than jet for your elevation and you will smoke your buddies 440ex. and an adjustable timing plate set at +4 degrees will give you a lil more power..
