Anyone raced any of the Can Am 800's. My neighbor has a Outlander 800 (basically the utility quad version of the Renagade). It's pretty fast, the renagade is supposed to be faster though.

Friends of mine went to the UP on a long trail ride...and got a chance to hit some wide open roads...flat, hard packed dirt.

Two riders of similar weight and skill, (each about 180 to 190) the 800 was bone stock, the TRX450R has a pipe, air filter, jetted...and he'd beat the 800. Now...it wasn't by much, he said his best race, 1 bike or two, worst race, a tire.

Now he also said they never got to top the bikes out...the 800 would probably start pulling with all that motor on top.

However, correct me if I'm wrong...but isn't that 800 a TANK??

They are a tank for sure, but they are fast as hell for a big 4x4. I remember dirt wheels had a deal on the renegade and they said a stock raptor 700 would only put a couple lengths on it.

I believe they are right around 700 pounds.. They do run good.. On a gravel road with the ren in 4 wheel I think its safe to say it would work a banshee.. BUT Iam thinking on other serfaces if a Banshee was slightly modded and had someone that could ride well it(ren) would be behinde but right on his ass.. The run good but they do weigh 700+.. I got a chance to ride one in Idaho and it was kind of a trip.. PLENTY of power and duned suprisingly well.. Only time you really noticed the weight was when you thought the wheels were gonna come off the ground over a hill or on somewhat of a sharp turn.. Then you could feel it.

Actually 608lbs. The Outlander version is too soft around corners for my taste. Still pretty impressive power though. Wondering what the Artic Cat is going to be like. These utility quads are just going nuts on motor. Good, most Utility Quads are Way underpowered.

Just wondering if my neighbors nephew at 125lbs is going to work over the Outlaw 525 too bad. (I'm 235lbs) or the banshee. Right now I'm thinking the Outlaw is faster than the banshee, but I have not been on the Yamaha for awhile.

If I remember right it did say 700 in dirt wheels. I'm pretty sure that they corrected it then in the next issue. Either way the things are tanks....
