DSSA Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 I finally recieved a frame that I purchased from the above seller after waiting since August 11th. Their reason for the delay (when they finally responded after 3 e-mails over the span of a week) was "We wanted to find a strong box so that the item would get there safely". Well, the box got here today, and that's a joke at best. They broke down some smaller, thin boxes and taped them around the frame. For packing, they used some plastic wrap. I think most every bracket on the frame is bent---not that big of a deal, but obviously it was a BS excuse about the delay. On to the frame--it's tweaked, painted (by what looks like a 2 y/o) with silver Krylon, and has some broken off bolts in it. Here's the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...N:IT&ih=012 : "Please note the description: Hello and welcome! Up for bids today is a Frame from a 2000 banshee. This frame is in mint condition has no broken tabs, bends, welds or stripped threads, Bike has never been crashed or fliped Frame was also just stripped down and professionly painted the same OEM silver but they added some flake, so this frame is a real gem Includes Michigan title and bill of sale Item is in great condition, and is in perfect working ordrer" "Frame was also just stripped down and professionally painted using the same OEM silver, but they added some flake...." Krylon silver is stock OEM? Professionals use Spray Cans? The thing wasn't even close to being "stripped" as the stock paint is still evident all over the place where they didn't hit with their rattlecan. Of course, they're the "If you leave positive feedback, we'll leave positive feedback" and "If you leave negative feedback, we'll leave negative". Buyer Beware.... Quote

DSSA Posted August 30, 2007 Author Report Posted August 30, 2007 That sucks bro, it looked like a good frame in the picture though but you know what they say about pictures...They sometimes lie and when they do they do it the best way possible...lol Sucks Yeah, it just kinda pissed me off that I was going to have to spend quite a few hours fixing stuff, then sending it out to get powdercoated before I could put the bike back together. Water over the damn at this point, but I just hate being blatantly lied to. Quote
Snopczynski Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 Just dont ever leave feedback. If he ever leaves you a good or a neg, just nail him with a neg. Tell him you want some of your money back, take pictures off the frame and contact ebay about the false listing he posted. Quote
