Toomey Banshee Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 Bob...that is EXACTLY what I find around here, same mods. My 96 was that with a stock head and stock cages/boysen reeds. On the dynojet needle, you mean 4th clip from the top I think, they have 6 clip positions...or at least mine did... Yup, your are correct sir. Been awhile since I messed with the needles on that bike. Been messing with the 2002 for the past 2 summers, so thats the bike I know like the back of my hand at this point. That thing is a real bear to tune right. Quote
bushka Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Sounds like you got it. You just jetted the way I have for years. Jet down, or up until the bog stops and be done with it. As far as your pilots go FMF does like a bigger pilot. Now go out and ride that thing! I have a pretty stock shee. pro circuit pipes, boyseen reeds, main jets at 320, pilot at 30, hinson full clutch. I can keep up with the 4 pokes, never scared. Its all in how u ride, shift points, etc. The 350 twin is a potent power plant when it breathes well. Quote
elwilliams13 Posted October 21, 2007 Author Report Posted October 21, 2007 Ok sorry took so long to get back(work) I had to switch to the bel ray mc-1 the local shop quit carrying the techniplate. Mix it at 50to1 now. I got the timing advanced +4 same mods as before. Now I have a 350 in there and the ring is darker than with the 330 and 340 but smaller than 2mm. It runs good as hell with some good torque. I figure 330 to 350 is a good range with the main will try a 360 just to see if the ring gets taller but no bog with the 350 main. Got a set of the vito needles in there 3rd clip spot and revs up like a monster. Anybody got any further input but I think I am very close now thanks to all for your help. Quote
