yfzdunejumper Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 since you're here, how much per month it approximatively cost you in gas and oil? or how much does it cost to full it of gas and change the oil. Don't go by what they tell you about oil changes figure it out for your self. I personally change the oil after every ride weekend. When I change my full synthetic oil at $15 a quart it still looks new but I feel its cheap insurance so I do that but I know its overboard. Just check your oil and when it looks old it is. After a few times you will know how often you should do it. You can buy a reusable filer or by the cheap ones on eBay and you can use cheap oils the whole thing shouldn't be much more than $10 to change your oil if you Quote

dajogejr Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 Get the oil as close to exact as you can. However, I won't sit there and wait for the last few drips out of the quart or ratio-rite. One or two drops of oil aren't going to make a lick of difference per gallon, let alone 4 to 5 gallons. Quote
RagunCajun Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 Good god i didnt know 4 strokes needed an oil/fitler change so often. Ah well, it's part of the fun. Cheaper/easyer to do an oil change than a new top end. Quote

Then you got all the oil and you don't have an oily messy ratio rite hanging around to drip on everything. For what this guy is saying he is going to do he should get the yFZ no doubt. Really a Raptor 700 if he is going to do any real trial riding. Quote
