bandit1911 Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 I recently got my 2002 Banshee and realized that the lights are not working. I checked the bulbs and they are fine. The previous owner removed the tail light and there is a blue and black wire hanging. Should they be connected to something? Black grounded maybe? I have no clue about the blue wire. The lights did flicker once but never came back on again. I am at a lost. Any help would be appreciated. Quote
bandit1911 Posted August 23, 2007 Author Report Posted August 23, 2007 I grounded the black wire and the lights came on instantly. Quote
swrbansheeboy Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 if you look under the rear of the bike by the cdi you should find a blue wire and a black wire with bullet type ends on them that will connect to the bullet type ends on the tail light. you shouldnt have to ground out the tailight because the wire's should already be there... bandit1911 Posted August 24, 2007 Author Report Posted August 24, 2007 I did not replace the taillight at all. Since there was is no taillight there the Black wire from the removed taillight has to be grounded so the headlights will work. I taped up the remaining blue wire in case I want to put the tail light on later. Quote
Snopczynski Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 so the black wire does it have a bullet end or a ring style end? Is there a little silver box under there with a blue wire plugged into it? Quote
shee rips Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 i have 3 wires hanging where the taillight is supposed to go and my lights work fine Quote
