FireHead Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 As a bump to this thread.......................I already said I had no idea about the interchangeability here. Quote
Snopczynski Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 Are you planning to ride this thing mostly on dirt? Quote

fastbanshee8 Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 I had FMF Fatty's, and switched to CPI's, and if you plan on switching back, and forth, plan on rejetting with every pipe change. The FMF's like a fatter pilot, than the CPI's, and the CPI's like a fatter main, than the FMF's. It will be a lot easier, to pick one set of pipes, and figure your jetting out for those, than it will be, to switch back, and forth. Quote
BaNsHeeJuNkEy Posted August 20, 2007 Author Report Posted August 20, 2007 Are you planning to ride this thing mostly on dirt? it is going to see a little of everything from the road to snow and the track. but mostly the trails and the pits I had FMF Fatty's, and switched to CPI's, and if you plan on switching back, and forth, plan on rejetting with every pipe change. The jetting issue is not just with respect to the pipes, but how your porting moves air through the pipes. ANothoer person may have different results with the same pipes. Quote

If you ride in open areas and are an experienced rider, then CPI's can be a decent multi-disciplinary pipe. :geek: Quote
Snopczynski Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 Ok, you got kind of weird thing going here. Inherently the cubs will lose bottom end power when bolted on, but gain a huge amount of top end power. So the way I see it, is your kind of screwed here. You bolt on the cubs and run cpi's, you have a top end rocket thats not trail or dirt happy at all. Or, if you port the bike for bottom end, then the cpi is not an optimal pipe to run with it. See, what I am trying to convey here. Quote

You will always have a few cases that differ. Quote

I suppose there is a large area of normalization between the extremes in stock'ish Banshee porting (stock, no port, jugs and Cheetahs. Quote
BaNsHeeJuNkEy Posted August 21, 2007 Author Report Posted August 21, 2007 I know the bottom end wont be that great but will still be better then what i have now. and the top end well ya that is a hole other story. the trails i am riden in are like roads big enough to fit a truck down so i can get on it no problem. and ya i am a little nuts "balls to the walls". but i am going to have the stock top end on my shee till summer who knows maybe i wont go cub and just port and bore the stockers. haven't got that far yet just know i want to go with cpi's since i am always on the gas no matter what. unless i am jsut wheeling around being dume.
