My friend is running a KN filter with no airbox lid graydon pipes and carbon tech reeds in standard cages.

would be get any increase in performace if he went for dual KNs mounted to the carbs

From what I heard is that with little carbs like stock an airbox is better than pods.Dont know how true that is tho

i agree i had pods on my stockie and it ran like shit until i went back to the airbox but make sure you change the jetting

I had the exact opposite on my 99 with just T-5s, V-force II's and a cool head. Pretty noticible performance increase when I took the air box out and went to K&N pods and jetted accordingly.

IMO it doesn't matter what carbs or motor you are running... The pods work very well... Noticable increase in power!
