mikey351 Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 My friend is running a KN filter with no airbox lid graydon pipes and carbon tech reeds in standard cages. would be get any increase in performace if he went for dual KNs mounted to the carbs Quote
RoostRocket Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 he would be getting more air into the engine so yeah it would give a little better performance. Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 From what I heard is that with little carbs like stock an airbox is better than pods.Dont know how true that is tho Quote

blue devil quad Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 From what I heard is that with little carbs like stock an airbox is better than pods.Dont know how true that is tho i agree i had pods on my stockie and it ran like shit until i went back to the airbox but make sure you change the jetting Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 i agree i had pods on my stockie and it ran like shit until i went back to the airbox but make sure you change the jetting I had the exact opposite on my 99 with just T-5s, V-force II's and a cool head. Pretty noticible performance increase when I took the air box out and went to K&N pods and jetted accordingly. Quote
SoCalinIt Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 IMO it doesn't matter what carbs or motor you are running... The pods work very well... Noticable increase in power! Quote
csrmel Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 `the airbox lid is probably the single biggest restriction in the intake system. Quote
