RoostRocket Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 how much are they to replace? you have to fix it its not really replacable. however you should be able to just bend it back. its kinda hard i used a ratchet strap you should look into getting the hoop gusseted. Quote
samc Posted August 17, 2007 Author Report Posted August 17, 2007 hmm... im going to mess with it tomorrow... Quote
RoostRocket Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 hmm... im going to mess with it tomorrow... yeah bending it back probably isnt the best way to do it but it worked for me. if you do find an easier way to do it let me know because im sure it'll happen again before i gusset it.... samc Posted August 17, 2007 Author Report Posted August 17, 2007 yeah imma think of something.. Quote
locogato11283 Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 a small hydraulic jack will work. place it in between the seat mount loop and the steering loop. crank away. you need to get some measurements though so you know how far to bend it back. or at least make it so your tank goes in and out easily without having a huge gap in between the tank and steering loop. it also needs to be gusseted or under normal riding conditions it can bend right back.. samc Posted August 17, 2007 Author Report Posted August 17, 2007 thats exactly what i was thinking yesterday but i remembered that my jack is broke :geek: Quote
