trail rider Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 my brother hasen't changed the oil in his banshee for a lil while longer than recommended, and there was plenty of metal shavings on the drain plug. my question is, is there some kind of liquid i can *swash* around in the tranny and then drain it to clean out the left over gunk and stuff. i know desiel fuel cleans dirty parts good, and i did a test by submerging some used clutch plates in it to see if would change the surface texture, and they felt the same afterwards. Or should he just go ahead and put some new tranny fulid in? any input would be appreciated. thanks. Quote
NYUK Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 just flush it with the regular oil you use. Quote
