Trick2stroke Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 After a while of riding my case vent hose seems to act like a syphon and steadily dumps out my oil untill it's low enough that my shifter get's stuck and won't shift up more then 1 gear and won't shift down at all. Seems like I've seen where other people have had this problem of their oil being syphoned out. I did a search but didn't find much of anything. I need to find out why it's doing this and what I need to do to prevent it. Anyone have some insight to this problem? Quote

Anyone have some insight to this problem? have you solved the problem yet because my o3 special edition is doing the same thing? i was told it could be the oil seals on the crank so i checked and they dont appear to be bad. i was also told that the yamabond between the cases has blown out and slowly causes crankcase pressure to build up and start pumping out the vent tube i havent checked this yet. How did you check the crank seals, visually? You need to do a leakdown test to check those babies, as well as the head, cyl's, cases. Quote
