okbeast Posted August 10, 2007 Author Report Posted August 10, 2007 sounds like a great pump gas motor to me!! After all that work what's a couple extra bux for 100 octane. I'll run it this way till I get a new o-ring kit then throw the 19cc domes on there. Good to know everything's safe though and that was the only issue. Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 yeah but why chase down race gas if ya dont have to?? Quote
okbeast Posted August 10, 2007 Author Report Posted August 10, 2007 Well I got the coolhead and 19 domes, why not use 'em. I'm gonna run 100LL too, not race gas, I can get it pretty cheap Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 cool cool. let us know how it turns out! Quote
shee rips Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 (edited) i shaved my head .020 and with fresh pistons and rings i had 145 on each side before i even started the motor. i havent tested it since i broke it in but i dont think it will have changed much. im at probably 200 feet above sea level and my squish is .035. i just threw that out there for reference, but my cylinders arent ported so......that raised exhaust port probbaly accounts for the slighly less compression. you could probably mill the head a little more if you want to get it in the 140-150 range EDIT i just read after i posted that you are getting a coolhead on there so i guess i better get to bed im not paying attention to what im talking about here  Edited August 11, 2007 by shee rips Quote
