I have a question. I was recommended to "at least" put in stiffer clutch springs because im getting a port job done and going from a milled head to a noss head w/ 19 cc domes. So, I went and bought the springs today. I through that the package came with THREE and I would just install three (1 stock - 1 HD Spring - 1 stock etc.) but the package has 6.

The package does not say how much stiffer they are over stock. Do you guys think that I should install all 6 of them or only 3? The guy where I bought them said to install all 6. Let me know!

There are 6 springs in your clutch...so, yeah, the kit should be all 6.

Who is doing the port work?

What kind of riding do you do?

How much do you weigh?

Normally...unless you got an all out drag ported bike, 3/3 is fine.

Well I know there are 6 I just through the pack would have come with 3 and that I would keep 3 stock ones.

What kind of riding do you do: Duneing and hill shooting with my friends and others @ Gordon's Well

How much do you weigh: I weigh 220

Sweet... I'll use 3 HD ones and 3 stock ones.

Is is a pretty easy job to do? Easier than changing out the stator (which was not hard) Im just trying to compare it to something. I pulled the head and jugs off myself as well.

Harder than the stator, easier than the jugs and head.

get a new side cover gasket...you'll need it. Rebuild the kickstarter while it's off if it is jingling.

Herr does good work, you'll be happy!

3 and 3 should be ok...see how it works out.

I'd get an EZ Pull lever/perch and get rid of the Parking brake BS while you're at it...

I was told that I could re-use the side gasket... damn should I really get a new one??? I want an OEM one if I do. The bike is a 2005 with only about 25 hours on it so its still pretty damn new.

Kickstarter is not jingling.

Im glad herr does good work!

I was looking at those EX pull levers, but I dont have the $ for that type of thing at this moment I have a vacation coming up at the end of the month. Ahhh Laughlin (lake Mead) here I come. No boss, no clock, no dress code, no shirt, no shoes, no problems on a private beach with my beautiful wife.

All the parking brake sh*t was removed when I installed the +4 swinger. Damn I forgot I still need to invest in some haulers and some douglas blue labels. I need to ditch the tires I have now they wont work well for hill shooting, but the kick ASS in the dunes.

I've put less than an hour on one (drag bike, 4 second passes at a time) and had to use a new one.

If it's on from the factory...they used silicone. You should use a thin film of silicone on both sides of the gasket as well.

Jim @ Jim's Sand Toyz is having a blowout on paddles he's got in overstock. One of the available sizes might fit your needs...call him.
