snowmanzz13 Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 as the title says, whats the big diffrence? i'm watching some II's on ebay for $100 and they are going on a basically stock bike, should i just put out the extra $70 or so and get the 3's? what will be the noticable difference over stock thanks josh Quote
theshee Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 Much better throttle response over stock... I would get the 3s mainly because parts for the 2s are going to be harder to get. They both do the same thing, only difference is how the reed pedals go in the cage. Quote
snowmanzz13 Posted July 14, 2007 Author Report Posted July 14, 2007 cool thanks, i guess i have to work a little harder this week lol but i guess i can dish out alittle more for the 3's Quote
fastrthnu Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 cool thanks, i guess i have to work a little harder this week lol but i guess i can dish out alittle more for the 3's for half the money I got boyeseen carbon pros and tdr that work just the same. hook up with Tony in Pompano.... www.bansheesuperstore.com Quote
snowmanzz13 Posted July 14, 2007 Author Report Posted July 14, 2007 whats everyone elses opinons on the boyeseen reeds? i've looked at these also but i've heard so much more about the forces an i assumed they were better, or is it like buying a harley where your paying for the name? Quote
DGFUNNY70 Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 Well from what I under stand V-force reeds are hands down the better power adder. They have more reed surface than other reeds and are perfered by most builders. I had a chance to pickup a set of the V-force 3 reeds a few months back $119 brand new (should have bought several sets). So I called Cameron at Redline who built my engine asked his opinion he told me to jump on them they have been more reliable and he's seen a horse or two gain over the 2's. Also like the guy said at the begining your finding less and less of the v2's around. Quote
zach45 Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 i just put the vf3 reeds and toome on my shee this afternoon.... last time i rode m shee it was bone stock.... all i can say is WOW.... im still shaking.. and i only went down the block to my cousnes and back lol Quote
dajogejr Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 VF2 show a 1-2 HP more on a dyno... It is getting harder to find replacement pedals, though.... Quote
RNBRAD Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 You guys must be checking in the wrong places for your VF2 parts. Maybe some builders aren't carrying them but you can always get them from Moto Tassinari for probably the next 10 years or more. Just too many sets of them were sold. Quote
dajogejr Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Good point...Brad. But I'd bet you pay a higher premium for them due to going direct to Moto...instead of a dealer... Not sure...just my thought. I got 3's...so, not too worried...LOL. Quote
snowmanzz13 Posted July 15, 2007 Author Report Posted July 15, 2007 okay, if i just get the reeds do i need to modify my intake boots at all? Quote
dajogejr Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Stock intakes? Yep...you'll have to cut off the rubber V's on them. Razor blade and go... Quote
snowmanzz13 Posted July 15, 2007 Author Report Posted July 15, 2007 does it basically explain itself when i pull the boots? what i'm really saying is will i know what to cut when i see it lol thanks for your help Quote
dawarriorman Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 does it basically explain itself when i pull the boots? what i'm really saying is will i know what to cut when i see it lol thanks for your help Its obvious, the intakes won't fit into the vforce cages until you cut the intake boots.
