I was thinking about riding my backyard one more time the 20-22nd here in Bonita then Ocala or Brookseville 27-29th. I dont know the area well, so someone needs to organize a meeting place. Money no matter and primitive doesnt matter to me. If another weekend is better for the majority, Ill most certaintly change my trip for it. Sooner the better! Quote

csrmel Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 im down for riding anywhere. i dont care where i ride just as long as i can actually get out there and do it. if we go to croom i will need the address of their entrance so i can put it into google maps and print some directions. i really suck at navigation. its a family curse. also id like to get some of youre cell numbers, preferably people who have already been there. so i can call ya if im lost. i also need more info on croom. like where do i get the year permit from. what are some croom rules. do i need a spark arrestor? etc. how is croom for ammenities like bathrooms, showers, stuff like that? is gas for sale in croom or close by, how about other stores like grocery, walmart, etc? ill bring some lawn chairs , big cooler full of ice and drinks and food. and some alcohol, tools, etc. i need someone to bring a grille! i dont have a portable one anymore. you guys want me to bring my spare 27 inch tv and my playstation 2? i have a bunch of atv games and movies for it for after hours when theres no riding allowed. let me know. its no big deal to put it in the back seat. makes for alot of fun watching huevos at night or playing atv off road fury series. and finally who wants to carpool? im in palm beach for the next few months. i have a trailer for my banshee. if someone has a truck with a hitch and want to split the fuel bill we can meet up and put my trailer on yer truck. otherwise ill drive there by myself with my car. my trailer is only 4x8 foot so i cant fit much more than my single banshee and a aluminum tox for storing stuff. but if someones got a truck that they can put their banshee in, and tow my banshee on my trailer, hey im down. i think 06BaNsHeE wanted to do this? pm me! 375hp banshees Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 croom phone number 352-797-5759 croom via google earth its from '05 but... croom via fl trail riders I plan on going soon, but the last time i was there the trails are VERY slow due to woops (fyi)... it's the only legal place w/ A pit & hill climbes that I know of ... it's on the N.W.corner of I-75 & sr 50 there are gas stations at the entrance & I thing misc stores E of I-75 & they have an onsite atv shop/store. the camp ground have bathrooms, not the best but functional. Looks to me like Big Scrub might be nice, It says its wooped but has as many flat spots for speed unlike croom which is all woop. Its only $6 dollars to say there. Dont know about gas & stores though. The upshot with croom are these things. Im going to try and get my 300ex on the roll to for a backup. Im sure alot of us are going to want to race too :cool: if I remember to leave my gas on hahaha Quote
csrmel Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 there are areas of big scrub that are nice big rolling hills, no woops or bumpy sections. just prime banshee country. its about 9 miles east from the camp ground, so its best to pack the vehicles and dirve there on the dirt roads. otherwise its 9 miles of powerline woops to get to the flat areas. 375hp banshees Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 A buddy of mine has property ( primative) in osceola co. he said we can meet up & ride there ...I think its closer for everybody (except me) & its free just A thought ...we just need to pick A date & I'll check w/ him ...the only kicker is we won't keep coming to the gate, so we need to pick A time (or 2)that we can all meet at the gate so its not A pain... there are alot of wet spots this time of year so keep that in mind, but i think its alot closer for most of us . I thought I'd throw it out there ...pm me if you want more info, I don't want to advertise it to much (since there are soooo many florida riders on here :yelrotflmao:) Quote
