twinrock Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 hi i just bought a set of barrels which have been sleaved with the vito 404cc sleaves... bore is currently fresh and at 69.5mm im also wanting to run a stroker crank prob just 4mm. can i run a 115mm long rod in these barrels?, if so whats needed?..i know particular pistons are need with off set gudgen holes are these compatible with the vitos stuff?...or is it better /easier to run a standard 4mm stroker crank .....or can i replace the long rod rods with standard rods?..to shorted the rod .will this still retain the 4mm stroke?..reason for all this is that i can get a very cheep 4mm 115mm crank thanks again.. Bansh-eman Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 the rod length and the stroke are two differant things. you can run a long rod in any set of jugs. its all taken up by the pistons. id suggest that you actually run them over stadard length. for the long rod your going to need weisco 795 series or compatable depending what piston u go with. i would stick with your stock jugs and not bother with vito.
