i thought it looked pretty cool, but stickers would be the way to go if it's just for the looks. imagine saving all of the shavings from drilling them out and then weighing them. i'm sure it would really be worthwhile to actually lose that weight. :banghead: maybe it makes it more aerodynamic :yelrotflmao:

probably a better idea to weigh the frame, drill it, and weigh it again, but I see your point haha.

yes your right it does make the frame weaker. however you would be surprised at how strong the frame will reamain. next time your on the highway start looking at the heavy duty mack/ inter. etc trucks and alot of there large trailers have simial holes through out the trailer frames. this reduces the weight, better gas milage and again it looks like the frame would be alot weaker but its really still very strong. Its been tested and stamped w approval many times over.

Youve gotta be an experienced rider to run a bike like that, its similar to running a .125 rear rim while hittin the woops before you head up the hill - new riders always bend their thin rims and the experienced ones know what not to do. Every pound counts, even if its one

I always thought my .125's were plenty strong. I've broken my footpeg off and cracked a swingarm in 2 places, bent an axle, blown a rear shock and the wheels are good as new. I do see how they would be crap for xc.

You guys don't have the heart to be drag race only....LOL.

I saw a guy on Shearer's website, orange frame, same thing. You'd probably be nervous to run my frame....but lots of people have run cut Tyson frames, too....

I think it looks cool...but, way too much time invested for me.

If cost is an issue, I will come over and do that to your frame for free. :ermm:

Lone Star sells a drilled frame. In drag racing EVERY oz. counts. I don't know how much that would save but you know the guy is comitted to being light when you see a frame like that. I would be worried about sand going in there and making it even heavier.

yea you would bend a .125 rim in a xc race on the first lap. just think of how many trees or rocks your going to slide around and hit. ive bent a .190 dropping off into a deep rut before.

I just remembered the K&T frame was an LSR frame, only they were called JP Racing back then.
