RagunCajun Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 I forgot to ask what does the person intend to do with the cr125? I ask because if it's MX, then there's certain rules and a port job or stroker might be illegal. If it's just for shits and kicks, a 250 2 stroke is the best bang for the buck. It will kill worked 125's in a strait line stock. As for 450f four stroke dirtbikes, i cant comment on those. I never road one or seen one running. I know my yz250 has traction issues though. I know most of it is due to a bad driver Quote
Trick2stroke Posted June 25, 2007 Author Report Posted June 25, 2007 Thanks for all the input, I'll show him this thread. Basically reinforcing what I had told him. he's mainly doing so to keep up with the banshee and the other big bikes we ride with. Quote

I know most of it is due to a bad driver i wouldnt worry about a port job unless your a pro. worked over 125s kinda suck now. i always rode 125s up until a few years ago. i was putting rings in my last one every 3 rides. leave it stock or buy a 4 stroke. you dont need anything more than a pipe. i switch from a worked up 125 to a stock CRF450r. im never going back and im probably not gonna buy another bike for a long time. mines a 04 with over a 1000 hours and ive never put a top end in it. these bikes are awsome!
