I have owned one before in the past. I am looking in building a drag bike ONLY. I want something for a quarter mile track. I was wondering has anyone got any good set-ups and ideas that could help with along with this project? If you had about 6k to put into it what would yall do? Quote

strokerace Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 if your going to run the quarter youll need to run a fuel pump and a pingel daul line petcock and if your going to run an overide youll need to do 1-6 complete tranny or a1-4 with manual 5 and 6 but it really according to how fast you want to be because i have and 18 mill i just finished with and i have a little over what you mentioned a i did all the labor myself including assembling the motor and cutting the tranny so i saved alot there but dont know if you feel comfortable building it yourself or having someone build it for you cause you need to check your clerances and compression and for leaks and jetting which would need to be right on for that distance Quote

I fyou want a very fast 1/8 or 1/4 mile Banshee the guy to call is Brian Sutton at Brian's 2 Stroke Performance in Florida. His number is: 954 739 1097. 90% of this guy's engines are 1/4 mile bikes..He has a dyno and can dyno the bike for you and get you the power you need. He does VERY good work and will not rip you off.
