sldbanshee Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 my compression is at 105 in each cylinder...im not sure if thats low or not but until i warm it up it will only start by pulling it around someone please hellp Quote
Bansh-eman Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 sounds like your ready to rebuild the top end... Quote
5150banshee Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 time for a top end,stock is between 125 and 135. Quote
sldbanshee Posted June 14, 2007 Author Report Posted June 14, 2007 so that would be why it wont start right?? correct Quote
Bansh-eman Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 yup, when your low on compression its hard to start them. and you ruled out spark casue it runs when you pull it. Quote
sldbanshee Posted June 14, 2007 Author Report Posted June 14, 2007 yea the compression is at 105 in both but when i do bum start it the spark acts alittle fishy too Quote
dajogejr Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 What is your elevation where you ride? 105 is real low at or near sea level...if you're at 5000 to 8000 feet....you have another problem. Quote

dajogejr Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 Can you explain exactly what you mean by spark acting weird??? Quote
sldbanshee Posted June 14, 2007 Author Report Posted June 14, 2007 Can you explain exactly what you mean by spark acting weird??? when it first starts up only the right side will fire or the left until it warms up..i think thats another reason why its so hard to start...but the compression is low too and it was running lean but i fixed that problem Quote

Did you warm the bike first, hold throttle wide open, take both plugs out and kick it over 10 times? I am more inclined to think you have a hard start issue because of a spark problem if you know you have had a spark problem already. Quote

Bansh-eman Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 if you switch caps does the problem follow the cap? Quote

As said, swap coil leads....see if it follows that lead. Quote
