dekker Posted June 19, 2007 Author Report Posted June 19, 2007 U guys really think im running enough HP to warrant an override. ... I would think that this thing shouldnt shift like piss i cant be running that much hp Quote
J-Madd Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 I have absolutely no problem shifting my 4mil Cub w/lockout. I did when I first put the motor together, but for some reason, it shifts fine now. However, every motor is different.....I know dajoger has said multiple times his wouldn't shift for shit. Quote

Yep, and I'll say it again...LOL. There are things you can do to get it to shift better, the shift pro kit works well from what I hear... Talk to Jeff @ FAST, he can hook you up with better shifting without going the override route just yet. I don't remember the beginning of this thread....do you have a lockup already? Quote
dekker Posted June 20, 2007 Author Report Posted June 20, 2007 Nope no Lockup just the FAST clutch setup which seems to work really good Quote
shanYE west Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 Nope no Lockup just the FAST clutch setup which seems to work really good I dont think you would need a lockup or overide for what you do. I would just look into some shift mods from Jeff, and make sure your shift shaft is adjusted correctly. Quote

(I just wanted to make sure he wasn't running a lockup, at high RPMs that can make a bike tough to shift...) Quote
RagunCajun Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 Does the shfit pro kit require the cases be split? I just got my juggs port and tons of other crap and i would like a better shifting banshee. However, i do not want to wrench on it another 2 weekends. I think i seen the shift star itself near the kickstarter kick when i was putting all that stuff back on. I know the shift star mod doesnt require the cases be split but not sure about the rest of the kit. Quote
dekker Posted June 21, 2007 Author Report Posted June 21, 2007 Well guys thanks for the help im gonna check shifter adjustment and then if that doesnt fix it ill get ahold of Jeff and get a star and a shaft and see if that doesnt cure the problem..... I appreciate all the Help -Zach Quote
