biggun6ss Posted June 3, 2007 Report Posted June 3, 2007 Have a buddy who just got a 12 port from jim. He is running pods with some 35 pwks. I have never messed with one of these before and I have never jetted a 35 pwk. We live about 3200 feet and the temp is around 85 degrees. Any idea on a main and a needle size. 12 port stroker 35 pwks 21 cc cut domes pods v force 2 boss intake fmf fatties Quote
dajogejr Posted June 3, 2007 Report Posted June 3, 2007 First I'd see what Jim recommends you jetting it at. Second, PM or wait for Wesw to respond. He's got jetting Jim's motors down pretty pat and I'm sure he can help!!! Good luck!! Quote
blueshee03 Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 you will probally wanna try the needles that came in the 35's which should be dek's in the middle clip,160 mains and 55 pilots and turn the airscrews out 1 and 1/2 turns. this should make it a bit on the rich side but be close at your elevation and you can go from there. we are at 3000 ft and have jetted and ran a few of jims motors including 12 ports. the fuel your running and compression will affect jetting a bit. biggun6ss Posted June 4, 2007 Author Report Posted June 4, 2007 Jim recomended 100 octane gas. I don't know the current compression but I do know they were 21cc domes cut for the stroker. Quote
wesw Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 me to the rescue. wtf lol sorry dont have internet for the time being, anyways, i would say 55-58 pilot, dgk needle comes with 35s, but 5th clip with them, and 145 mains. bansheefreaks, and my motors both liked this jetting. we are at 1200 ft. you might be a bit rich but you can adjust from there. for sure 5th clip on the needle. it will like a rich mid. those domes will work great with 100LL, Quote
