I currently have a completly stock 2001 shee the only thing done to it is a 13 tooth front spocket what can I do to make this a better trail and hill climb bike, without breaking the bank !thanks for any advise

Front suspension for trails, without a doubt the best investment you can make. For hillshoots I would go with pipes and a milled head/port and polish.

pipes,jet-kit,k&n filter, and some new rear tires, that should help alot.

This is what is done to my bike, and it makes a ton of torque and mid power.

Dynoport 2 into 1 pipe with ultra quiet silencer.

Dynoport Port job.(yes dynoport does port work for the 2 into 1 pipe).

2 into 1 trinity intake with 35mm pwk and K&N pod filter (you may want to run an airbox though)

Stock reed cages with carbon tech low-mid reeds.

Flywheel lightened. (rs heavier magnet flywheel).

Cascade Heavy duty clutch kit.

+4 timing advanced.

Pro design head with 20cc domes on 92 octane pump gas (155 psi comp).

13/46 gearing.

Wiseco Pro lite pistons.

Its a real strong running bike, amazes a lot of people, and its easy to keep on the pipe at slow speeds. With the new port jobs it pulls hard as you roll on the pipe and it stays the same for awhile till it gets to the upper rpm, then it takes off like a shot till it hits peak rpm.

it all depends on how much it takes to break your bank  i mostly ride trails and hill climbs also on my '01.

as far as power - pipes, air filter, and reeds.

handling - tires, front suspension, good brake pads.

if that's not enough and you have the $$, then a head/domes, porting, timing advance, etc.

myself, i like my combination of pc pipes, pd foam filters, v3's, and noss head. with proper jetting, the pc's are very managable in the woods. rarely bogs out in the slow tight stuff, and still screams when the trail opens up. the pd foam filters (w/o lid) work really good against mud and dust.

i have works triple rate fronts, which are way better than stock, but i may upgrade soon to something with rezzies. i like the ps bandit rears, and holeshots on the front. both work really well on the trails, hard or muddy. EBC severe duty pads are awesome for trails. they work great no matter how much mud/water you get into.

a lot of people will tell you that shees suck for the trails, but i think it's great. you just need to learn how to handle one in the woods.
