corcoran657 Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 every time i ride my banshee the gas just pours out of the over flows and i have raised the floats, even relpaced the needles and seats to see fi that was the problem but nothing seems to work, at idle it doesnt leak but when i ride it the gas just starts to come out and its not like a little drip the whole skid plate gets soaked to and it just pisses the gas out does any one know how to fix this??? Yeah, theres something off. Why did you raise the floats? THey should be at 21-22 mm when upside down from the carb ledge to the top of the float. Or read your repair manual on float adjustment. I had the same problem with my one carb. It turned out to be a bad needle jet and seat. I had the moose carb repair kits and the one was just bad. Just make sure everything in the carb is in place. Theres not much to a carb so good luck!!! Quote

It's either the seats or the float level, nothing else could cause it. Make sure the seats are properly installed and the floats set properly to spec and they move freely. I've had this problem when a piece of grass got into my carb and wedged itself in the seat. GL Quote
theshee Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Its a long shot and prolly not it since both of them are leaking, but take them apart and clean the shit out of the carbs. If there as any tiny little thing in the seat the carbs will leak like crazy. Quote
