side_fxxx Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Just got back from a labor day weekend ride and when taking the quad off the truck it wouldnt start. not too sure what the problem is but noticed that the radiator is empty at the top and the overflow tank is still fuel the overflow line in the front would spit out oil (thought i just overflowed the oil) at first but towards the end of this weekend it was mostly coolant. my best guess is the coolant was mixing with the trans oil till the point it was mostly coolant. now is this a impeller seal problem? gsxturbo Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Well it could be the oring on the transfer tube that runs through the case into the clutch cover,the head gasket leaking compression in to the radiator causing it to blow past the water pump impeller seal,or the inpeller seal itself could be leaking.
