  1. not really im getting out of the banshee and getting a utility
  2. looks like its a fix... i do need to sell it though the girlfriend likes to trail ride and it would be nice to get a utility.
  3. I purchased a 2002 banshee last year I did alot of riding and late last year the engine seased up. I had a buddy tear it down and the connecting rod broke on the right side cylinder and messed up the piston walls and head. Right now its torn down and I was going to buy a used motor and sell it. Looking at banshee's in my area they go for about 2500-2700. Mine is in pretty good condition the plastics are not cracked but have some stress lines in them from a roll over. It has brand new knarly tires. I would just like to sell because i do not have the time to fix it. I was going to get a price you think is fair before listing it for sale. Im in the dayton ohio area also if someone is interested.
  4. bump, i can do less $200 + shipping or $220 and i'll paint them for you silver or black with 1200 degree paint
  5. im parting out my banshee and these are the first to go! i just got done sandblasting them. They were silver 1200 degree painted but im going to leave them bare for who ever gets them.(you can paint them black or silver, jet hot, or just wd-40 them after each ride) There are no dents on them and they were only used last season. $230 plus $20 shippping. or you can pick them up minus the shipping im around dayton, ohio
  6. i dont need a full on race motor just something close to stock.
  7. My banshee has a broken connecting rod and a locked up crank. it needs a full rebuild is there any places around dayton ohio that could do this for me? also what do you think it would cost me?
  8. bump pm's replied
  9. My motor is pretty trashed and im in need of just a stock spec or bored out stock motor. you can email me at [email protected] or shoot me a pm thanks
  10. I just blew up my '02 the cylinder head is messed up along with the jugs and the crank is seased up. Just want to by a engine with good compression numbers. Thanks! you can email me at [email protected]
  11. ok looks like im missing the very bottom one. thanks!
  12. im trying to figure out how my chain routes and dont know if i am missing a front roller. i only have 2 top ones and the bottom one is just a bolt. and if some one could draw up a routing picture that would be helpful thanks!
  13. i just removed my engine to put new rings on it and noticed that dirt was getting by the stock airbox with the toomey kit 2 stage foam filter. it was all on the walls up to the carb. is there something to use to make a better seal where the filter meets the box??
  14. i was just wondering if you take the top end off and there is no scratches in the piston wall or piston if a simple rehone and new rings is ok?
  15. my shee is sometimes pretty testy to start up when cold. i had it apart today and desided to check the compression. left side was 95 psi and the right was 100psi. this is on a cold motor do you think its time for a rebuild? should the first step be to look at the piston walls and piston to see if it just needs rings? also with the brand of tester i was using i had to remove the gas tank to get it in there is there one with a 90 degree bend in it? thanks!
  16. Just got back from a labor day weekend ride and when taking the quad off the truck it wouldnt start. not too sure what the problem is but noticed that the radiator is empty at the top and the overflow tank is still fuel the overflow line in the front would spit out oil (thought i just overflowed the oil) at first but towards the end of this weekend it was mostly coolant. my best guess is the coolant was mixing with the trans oil till the point it was mostly coolant. now is this a impeller seal problem?
  17. isn't the stocker 3.2 gal?
  18. i went down to our local harbor freight and they had the tire changing system on sale for 29.99 so i ended up getting it. dont think you can get a bead breaker and tire irons for that price.... ill see how it works tonight
  19. im thinking about the harbor freight tool since it has a bead breaker built in. now how hard is it to seat the new bead on the new tire. i have a very small air compressor (1.5 gal i think) will that work?
  20. I have searched around and to change out the rear tires most people said to try out walmart. well my local walmarts dont change atv tires even though they sell them.... i called the atv shops around here and they want 30+ per wheel to change out. my question is how many of you use the tire changer from Harbor Freight? the machine is 50 and says it changes atv tires. any other suggestions?
  21. I just finished up my t5 install kit and rode this weekend. the only thing left to do is the 12 1" holes you place on your air box. are those a must have because i like the box being sealed to keep the water out as much as possible out. oh i did remove the snorkle off the one end.
  22. yeah i got the kit with filter and jets.... but with a 6.5:1 ratio why you need 90+. most 4 stroke motors are in the 9's plus and run on 87. im only asking with the 3.00 plus prices. and in ohio we have 87 89 93 to choose from with a ten cent difference. also off topic a little but how much trail riding (mostly around idle and some full throttle bursts up hills) to you get mile wise?
