bigboybanshee Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 What happens when you ride it like that? Quote
FOXBANSHEE30 Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 It fouls plugs like a bitch, which means rich right? Quote
Handyman Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 if it's fouling while you're riding then yes you are correct...it's rich... I don't have a 2-1 set up liike you but in my 35's I have a 142 main and a 45 pilot, clip in 3rd position and air screws out 1.5 turns out... try something close to that and see what happens. Oh and that's set up for 4500ft elevation and it was a bit on the lean side but not too bad. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 I'd drop it down to like a 155 or 160 and see how it feels. Quote
400rednEX Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 are the plugs black and wet or discolored and dry? by your listed mods it looks like you are close or might need a bigger main. is your carb dirty? electrical problems? Quote
dajogejr Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Your carbs are close... Have you checked for dirt in the carbs, good spark/ground and an air leak?? That jetting should be close enough to get it running and not foul plugs that bad. Warm the bike up, turn the air screw all the way in, LIGHTLY seated. Turn it 1/2 turn out. Go for a ride. Turn it another 1/2 turn out...wait 20 seconds for this adjustment to set in, go for another ride. Keep repeating this process until you get the HIGHEST possible idle out of the air screws. Then they're done. Then use the idle screw to set the desired idle (usually 1400 to 1800 RPM)... Quote
rocketboy Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 id say 180-195 is normal for a 2-1 with your mods Quote
